Cowboy Hats
A cowboy hat does a practical job: it shades your face and neck, sheds rain, and completes a western outfit in one piece. Chaps Fit cowboy hats are mostly leather, with braided bands, rivet studs and conchos, alongside felt wide-brim western hats and western-style fedoras. They come in black, brown, white, blue and burgundy, in sizes XS to 3XL.

How to Find Your Hat Size
- Measure your head. Wrap a soft tape around your head about ⅛ inch above your eyebrows and ears, where the hat band will sit.
- Note the measurement in inches or centimeters. If you're between sizes, round up.
- Compare it with the product's size chart to find your size from XS to 3XL.
A hat that fits well sits level and snug without leaving a red line on your forehead. If it's slightly loose, a hat-sizing strip placed behind the sweatband will tighten it.
Caring for a Leather Cowboy Hat
- Rain: leather sheds a shower. If the hat gets soaked, let it dry at room temperature, resting on its crown, away from heaters.
- Shaping: reshape the brim gently by hand while the leather is slightly damp, and let it dry in that shape.
- Cleaning: wipe off dust with a soft cloth. Condition the leather lightly now and then, keeping conditioner off any fabric band.
- Storage: always rest a hat upside down on its crown, never flat on the brim, which flattens it. For longer storage, keep it in a hat box.
Completing the Western Look
A wide brim balances the long line of full-length chaps, which is why the classic western outline pairs a broad-brimmed hat with shotguns or batwings. Match the tone of your hat to your leatherwork: a brown hat with brown chaps and a western belt, or black with black.
